Ovarian haemorrhagic cyst - any experiences?

My periods were always very regular - 28/29 days.
From March this year, out of the blue they started to become irregular, long cycles 55+ days and as it stands I haven't had a period since September. I've been having on/off cramps and period type pains.

I saw my GP who did some bloods and I had an ultrasound scan.
I've now been told I have a 30mm haemorrhagic cyst on one of my ovaries and have been referred to gynaecology.
I've been told the wait for the referral could be quite long so whilst I wait I'm interested in anyones experiences with these kind of cysts - did you need treatment/surgery? Any effects on conceiving?

I'm 36 and have 1 child but this year I was thinking about trying for baby no2.

This has thrown me a bit and I'm a bit of a worrier so would appreciate any stories you ladies might have? Thanks in advance!

Yes. Horrendous pain and everytime they scanned me it then resolved itself and I'd get one on the other other ovary.

They did watchful waiting with mine as they were always borderline size for surgery.

Good luck, they hurt so much xx

Thank you for the reply.

Sorry to hear you really suffered with these.

I'm wondering if I'll also just be monitored with another scan. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I think it depends on the size but I'm afraid I can't remember what size that was sorry. I hope it all goes ok for you. If it helps I managed to get pregnant but I'm not sure if I had a cyst then or not.
