Bleeding after c-section

Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong part.
I had my little boy 12 weeks ago via planned c-section with no complications and I'm at still bleeding. I don't remember bleeding for this long with my first. It's not heavy like a normal period and doesn't fill a pad fully. Sorry for tmi but it does come on the pad and when i wipe on the toilet.
Has anyone else gone through this?
I've tried to get an appointment with my gp but I'm stilling waiting on our 6-8 week check up.

I had to go in over excessive bleeding after my 3rd section this year and was given a course of antibiotics and a scan to determine what the cause was, have since been diagnosed with endometriosis. Like you after my previous sections I knew something was definitely different and couldn't wait any longer for an appointment so I just took myself off up to the hospital and they were brilliant very helpful with trying to figure out why I was bleeding so much, I had an examination which showed my cervix was slightly open and they quickly booked me for an ultrasound which showed thickening in my uterine lining and that probably caused an infection because my cervix being open for so long and the endometriosis combined.
Get yourself checked out if you feel like there is something not right.

I should add that mine was due to heavier bleeding that never really stopped, it's not quite what you've described but any unfamiliar bleeding after birth wether vaginal or section you should have checked.

Yes, other than the bleeding I recovered normally felt like myself I just was noticing that the bleeding was very unlike my previous recovery I thought it would sort itself out 3rd baby maybe it was just different this time but as time went on I realised I was going to have to get checked over, I ended up hospital my blood pressure was really low & I'm already anaemic so they prescribed iron, antibiotics & within 48 hours the bleeding had stopped, the list of things they suspected was, uterine infection due to open cervix, prolapse, retained placenta which is very rare especially after so many weeks after birth youd probably know by now & blockage of the cervix causing bleeding.
It'll be definitely worth while getting checked out could be something very simple I was sad to be in hospital of course with the pandemic & all but when considering you had major surgery 12 weeks ago I'd get check, I was 6 weeks pp when I went in and other than heavy periods due to the endometriosis I'm fit an healthy thankfully.
