I've just been informed the local funding for adult adhd services has been cut significantly and the waiting list has now doubled. I'm looking at 4 years for an assessment and diagnosis and medication etc.
I know in my heart of hearts that I can't do another 4 years of living like this. I would rather just call it quits now. My MH is in tatters and I'm exhausted and burnt out by the chaos that is my life and the fact that inside my head constantly feels like grand central station at peak time.
DH has said to get a private assessment and diagnosis and we'll have to put it on credit and find a way to manage the financial side of if.
Can anyone recommend anywhere? Online/video is fine but physically I'm in Sussex but am willing to travel to get this started. It's a bit desperate. I'm on the NHS list and have been referred but can't wait 4 years.
