Constant severe night sweats since DD birth 9 months ago - can’t be peri can it??

I am up and on my third pyjama change, with a soaked bed again

I’ve been to the doctors, had full blood count, nothing followed up from that so assume all was fine. They said it’ll just be hormones settling down from the birth. However the baby is now 9 months old! And I stopped any bfing after about 2 weeks.

I am on ADs which say they can cause night sweats on the label, but I began taking these after this started so don’t think they can be the cause. I’m really at a loss. I’m 37, this can’t be anything to do with the menopause already can it??

Is there any chance of anything retained after the birth?
Swab, tissue etc

Llamasally · 20/12/2021 04:16

I don’t think so as that was something mentioned at one point but to do with ongoing bleeding - which has stopped

Any weight loss? I would be going back to gp as they need to check for other causes of night sweats

Llamasally · 20/12/2021 07:48

No weight loss, I wish!!

The GP was very dismissive tbh, saying I needed to give things time to settle down. I think this has been long enough really!

I had this for about 10 years after having DS2! No cause ever identified. Weirdly, now in my early 50s, it seems to have settled down.

Stress and anxiety can cause night sweats, as can general tossing and turning in bed when asleep. It's not necessarily peri related.

Llamasally · 21/12/2021 08:34

I don’t feel like it’s stress related, in fact the ADs are working very well and I feel better than I have in quite a long time. DH says I don’t toss and turn a lot 🤷‍♀️
