Sore lump in labia

Felt a bit sore since Saturday, realised my labia was swollen yesterday and had a feel around and felt a lump on the inside bit. It's sorer today and I could see the lump in a mirror today (didn't yesterday). It's about the size of a baked bean and no head. I'm assuming it's a spot/boil/pimple thing with the swelling and soreness but that's a guess. Just wondering whether to give it a while to sort itself out or do I need antibiotics? It's at the front so don't think it's a Bartholin (?) cyst.

I'm having a really stressful time at the moment. It's a bit uncomfortable but not that painful if I don't touch it

Thanks

I get this sometimes. Soak a cotton ball in water as got as you can bear and apply to area. This usually soothes and shrinks then for me

Thank you, will give that a try.

Hot compress on it 2x a day, I get them every so often normally after my period, I think pads irritate me, I had one a while ago took about 2weeks to fully disappear! Whatever you do don’t poke at it as it will just get bigger! If it gets really really sore ring the gp they can give you some antibiotics x

A bartholins is usually lower down near either side of the vaginal opening. I've had small spots/lumps the labial lips rarely, but maybe 3x in the last 20yrs. Not even as large as a pea though. A warm/hot bath helps, then if there is any pus inside, it usually becomes apparent. Annoying and painful when urinating, but generally gone within days.

Thanks everyone. It's no worse this morning anyway so hopefully will clear up before too long.

I think I had this last week but only lasted a day or so after I realised it was there

I had loads of these a few weeks ago after a caesarean. Presumed it was because I was fairly immobile and putting pressure on that whole area. I had a few hot baths (sitz baths) and they cleared up. Really painful though!
