Mould causing thrush

Last week I did something really stupid and threw a bunch of damp, slightly mouldy clothes in the washing machine with underwear and other perfectly normal clothing. Everything was then tumble dried, but I’ve now got what I suspect is mild thrush and I suspect it’s due to that.

Does this seem like the likely cause? I have had thrush once before and that was, once again, a washing error. I washed my underwear with the Lenor outdoorsable Confused

Its a different type of fungus that causes vaginal thrush compared to black mould that grows on damp stuff.

Maybe you wee reacting to the fabric softener?

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 03/12/2021 12:23

Are, not wee obvs!

Whathefisgoingon · 03/12/2021 12:36

Well the other difference was I used Daz and no fabric softener whereas I usually use Fairy non bio.

I think daz is your problem, not the mould.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 03/12/2021 14:06

No, mildewy clothing would not cause thrush.

steponthetightrope · 03/12/2021 14:19

We can only use fairy non-bio over here for skin itchiness so I suspect it's the Daz.

Whathefisgoingon · 04/12/2021 12:38

Well it’s definitely thrush because Canesten has worked.

I checked the Daz and it’s bio and for colours & whites, whereas I always use fairy non bio and comfort pure! We had ran out so DP picked the Daz up from the corner shop. Never again!
