It's the worst I had them too but it wasn't to do with the menopause we never really found out what it was
I tied my hair up and I slept with a folded up pillow case inside my pyjama top. I changed that through the night, it absorbed a lot of the sweat from my chest and neck which seemed to be the worst part
It stopped me having to change my bed
I know it's so isolating

I'd talk to a GP as you're on the young side. Do an e-consult if actually seeing one is hard at the moment, assuming your surgery does the e-s?

Hi. I’ve come across this thread as I also have night sweats. They started after having my second baby 2 years ago when I was 32. It coincided with me starting antidepressants. At first they were constant but then settled down to be just around my cycle. I rang the doctors a few times and they said it was a side effect of medication.

Fast forward 18 months and I came off the medication to try for my third baby and whilst the night sweats have drastically improved, I am still waking up occasionally around my cycle with damp hair at the back of my neck.

So worried it’s to do with menopause, I have conceived yet either which is fuelling my worries. I hve had three lots of blood tests this year which have all come back within the normal range.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hoping43 · 02/12/2021 18:24

That should say I haven’t conceived yet!

Hi OP

I used to have pretty intense night sweats in my 30s. It was gross. I had my thyroid tested and as it was borderline the GP did not prescribe anything. I later visited a different GP who prescribed Levothroxine and I hardly ever have night sweats now. Have you had your thyroid levels checked?

Hoping43 · 02/12/2021 18:31

Yes I had all those tests done in May and they just concluded it was a new PMS symptom but I’m not convinced and as I haven’t conceived after eight months of trying, I’m just worrying

Bhappey · 02/12/2021 18:38

No ive had no tests but did have bloods done last year
