Hi all,

Up to date smear tests, but have cervical ectropion.

Have been bleeding on and off since birth of DC2 despite being back on pill. She's 14 months now. Had the same after DC1 but much less and it eventually settled down. Thought it was going to settle this time too but been bleeding on and off for the last four weeks again.

Had ultrasound and all fine. Checked ectropion and they say it's likely that. Tired of this being my life. Crampy, emotional, bleeding. Convinced it must be something more with every horror story about missed cancer cases that I read. Been on waiting list for gyni appointment for months.

Anyone have any positive outcome stories to share please? Feeling desperately sad today.

I think that's a combined pill?
It could be that . I had bleeding on the combined pill which stopped when I stopped taking it

MrsMyreton · 14/11/2021 18:19

@fedup078 yeah, it is. I've been offered the Mirena coil, but I just don't think it's for me. Done having kids, and fed up being poked and prodded!

Personally I wouldn't . So many horror stories on here but there are also people singing it's praises
My Aunty always made me promise her I wouldn't get one as she nearly ended up dying due to it.
I'm guessing your partner won't consider the snip?

MrsMyreton · 14/11/2021 18:55

Thanks @fedup078 I want to come off the pill but hesitant in case they are very heavy - I had a PPH after my first child and it's definitely affected how I feel about bleeding. Partner heading for the snip within the next year. Did you have any issues with heavier periods after you stopped the pill (if you don't mind me asking)?

I suppose my greatest fear is that there is something very serious wrong that hasn't been picked up.

No I didn't notice any increase in bleeding

MrsMyreton · 14/11/2021 20:44

Thanks @fedup078

Much worse today so back on the ibuprofen for the cramping. Absolutely miserable and panicking. OH away for work too so no help at home once kids get back from childcare. I need to get a grip.
