Hi all

It's just a quick one and some advice I am wanting really, I last had intercourse 31/07 but have since had 2 periods since then, I've taken serveral pregnancy tests and also had blood test so Idont think I'm pregnant but Im currently going through a divorce so I am very tense and stressed, could this be the reason for the delayed / missed period. I've also been really threating about pregnancy so maybe that could be another reason?!

Stress can definitely be a contributing factor to missed/delayed periods. I would go to your GP if you are concerned but with 2 negative tests, 2 periods since then and a blood test I think it's unlikely you are pregnant. I also think you would be experiencing some kind of pregnancy symptoms by now as you'd be past 12 weeks if you were?

Our bodies are more clever than we think sometimes and they know when we are ready/not ready for a baby, hence the lack of period in times of extreme stress. I'd maybe take another test to put your mind at ease and if your period doesn't return next month, go to your GP. They may also be able to suggest ways of managing your stress and get you feeling better x
