Smear results

Hi all,
I'm hoping some of you might be able to help me. I had my ds 8 months ago and went for routine smear in August. I just got a phone call from gp surgery reception to say the Dr has left a prescription for me as fungal hyphae was shown on smear. I'm only getting the results now as they are a backlog as our lab is also doing covid testing. I assume smear is normal and that this has been found on the sample. Does anyone know what this means as receptionist wasn't much help and couldn't speak to gp. Also could this be more serious now as that sample was 2 months ago. My ds was born via emergency Cs due to meconium. He later developed sepsis and I got endometritis 2 weeks later....could this be connected? Can anyone help? I'm going to try to get to speak to gp.
Thank you x

Maybe they mean you have something like thrush as that's fungal

Thanks @dementedpixie...I asked the receptionist was it thrush and they said no as that's candida. I'm going to try and get a telephone appt with gp to get it explained. I'm wondering if it side effects from the infection after c section...but its been two months since the smear so I'm hoping there is no long term damage.

Thanks @dementedpixie maybe it is that but just wasn't written on the report.
