Periods have changed massively

dorris88 · 28/10/2021 10:58

So over the past year my periods have changed massive (literally since I turned 30).

This one is even more weird.

I used to start suddenly heavy and it would slow down over the days.

Then, out the blue (or maybe covid vaccine related) they went from starting light for 2 days then 2 days extremely heavy.

Now the period I'm having now has been 2 days of bloody discharge, and it looks like poo tbh it's pathetic and disgusting.

Has anyone experienced this? There's a big chance I'm overthinking this because I'm TTC but thought I'd reach out here.

Thanks

Is it huge clots of blood?

Hi OP, do you use a period tracker app? I started using Flo a few months back and it's been an eye opener. I only use the free version so not sure what the upgraded option offers but there's quite a bit of info on there and you can log different symptoms etc.

@rainbowninja I do, I've done it for about 3 years. Says I'm still 'regular' but it's not my usual regular.

My main concern is the change in how I now recently feel sick, get diarrhoea, have PMS on the light bleeding days, then bleed heavy like someone released a plug (sorry that sounds so gross lol)

I've got a drs appt on Monday so we shall see. I've had ovary problems and had lumps removed so I wouldn't be surprised if I now have endometriosis because my womb and all its friends just love to have problems

Worth getting it checked @dorris88 it could be a sign of hormonal imbalance. Is the feeling sick and diarrhoea only during your period?

NotMyCat · 29/10/2021 14:11

Same here, and same with the discharge. Bleeding then stops, then two days of this discharge and then more heavy bleeding

dorris88 · 30/10/2021 07:29

@rainbowninja yeah only feel it in the build hp to the heavy stuff

As others have said, check it out with the doctor. Particularly if you are keen to fall pregnant.
