I had my urine tested for a different issue and they found traces of blood in my urine so sent away another sample to be checked in the lab and it came back positive for infection. I took one course of antibiotics (penicillin) and when tested again it still showed traces of blood and infection and I’m now on a second course of antibiotics (trimethoprim). I guess it must be a mild infection but I have bad health anxiety and I’m worried that the antibiotics aren’t working and that I’ve had no symptoms and might have had it for a while and it’s caused damage to my body. I had a bad run of them in my early twenties but not had any for about ten years. Anyone had similar or any reassuring/supportive words?
