Spotting

I have just for the first time in my life experienced a small perfectly round spot of blood on the toilet paper after wiping. Bright red.

Without being too gruesome, I then had a “feel” of my cervix etc inside and wiped my fingers and there was no blood on the paper at all.

I suspect I am about to or have just ovulated as the night before last I was experienced egg white cervical stretchy mucus; which again I am not prone to!

I am pretty scared. Everything you read says bleeding outside of your period is dangerous.

Should I be worrying?

Not as a one off.
There are lots of reasons as to why it might have happened

I just don’t understand how there’s not even a smear of blood afterwards. If I’d bled from inside then surely there would be some left when I checked.

Spot or ingrown hair maybe?

Or as toilet paper is usually recycled paper could not have already been there? I sometimes see little bits of different coloured paper on my toilet paper

No, it was bright red so can’t have been old.

It was perfectly rounded as well, I thought spotting would be mixed with other fluids and so look like a splodge on toilet paper. It looked like a piece of toilet paper that had been put on a shaving cut!

I’ve had absolutely nothing since, either..

If you’re worried, see your GP. But could just be a scratch or a bit of spotting.
