Hi all,

I just wanted to know if anyone had experience this before I call the GP - I had a c section in January and went straight on the contraceptive implant, no bleeding since and no period but a couple of days ago I thought I was getting my period as I had cramps and all the tell tale signs but it's just brown discharge in my underwear and when I wipe, I thought by now they'd be bleeding but none what so ever - should I be worried or is it fairly normal? Blush

Pictures attached as I'm rubbish at explaining

Could it have been ovulation ? Looks more like yellowy cervical mucus than period to me.

I didn't think of that actually I've never had it before like this, I used to not get cramps but get like a gooey clear discharge but I guess your body can change after pregnancy, it just seems like a lot like I'm finding it in my underwear so I put a pad on and it was like a really like brown but it does look a bit yellow as well, hopefully I get my period in a couple of weeks then.

Thank you for replying.

No worries. Although doesn’t the implant stop ovulation-I’m not sure! I’d give your gp a call to ask their advice.

VioletRose91 · 03/11/2021 01:40

I’d defo call the gp and get them to take a look, does it have any offence smell?
Sometimes the implant can cause ur hormones to go abit wild so spotting isn’t unusual but it does look a tad yellow xx

I actually started my period yesterday so I'm thinking it may have been ovulation.

Also I don't know why I put implant, I meant injection but my last stab was January so I think it's worn off now hence the period haha but thank you.

I had this before and was told it's just ovulation :)

gamerchick · 11/11/2021 14:35

Looks like normal shizzles to me. If it smelled offensive you would know it wasn't right.

Aren't women's bodies amazing in that we can share the goings on they do Grin

Looks normal to me too, I get it around ovulation time but only starting noticing it in my late 30s.
