Itching driving me mad

Hi. For the last year I have been suffering from itching down below 🙈 it started off just a small itchy area, but now the whole groin area itches. It's not all day long, but when it does itch it drives me mad! The skin looks normal. It mostly feels dry and tight.. Like crepe paper. It's the groin creases sometimes inbetween tops of thighs as well as the labia where the hairline is. I also get itchy knees & elbows and rashes appear after scratching, although that seems to be a bit better now that I'm moisturising every day but tends to flare up at the same time every month, but will clear up with some steroid cream.
I also started getting these sore spots on my scalp at the back of my head. After I changed from washing my hair every day to every second day it stopped, but never had any problems previously!
I'm wondering if this could be down to hormones as I have been spotting before my period for a few days - same thing happens every month and first started 2 years ago but stopped while I was on the pill (I was on it for around 9 months and came off it at the beginning of this year).
Probably should mention I have been breastfeeding with no breaks for 7 years (not the same child, different children 😂) but am in the process of weaning now.
I have mentioned to the GP but as I also started suffering from panic attacks at the beginning of the year I feel everything seems to get put down to that.
Has anyone else had this... Any suggestions on what I can do to stop the itch!?

Go back to your GP and insist they take you seriously.

To get anything you need to advocate for yourself. You need to literally not let the GP go until you get exactly what you want. If you're not happy ask for a second opinion. Shouldn't be this way however that's what I've found.
