How to get PCOS diagnosis?

Just that really.
It's in the family, I have all the symptoms (irregular periods, acne, facial hair growth) and when I raised it with my GP it was pretty much dismissed in a "let's worry about that when it matters" kind of way. (Basically I wasn't trying to conceive and therefore it wasn't causing me any problems, in GP's eyes)

Just feel like I'm not being listened to and want to know how you went about getting the diagnosis?

I told my GP I suspected PCOS and asked for a scan. I was referred into the community for a scan, scheduled a follow up call with GP for a week later and got the results. I also asked for a referral to Endo, which is taking a while but I have an appt for November.
