Period Pain Up Your Side?

Blossom4538 · 11/10/2021 20:44

Anyone else experience this?

In the past, I had the usual period pain in lower tummy/back etc, but for around a year now, I get it going right up my side - always my right hand side! Also, heavy periods, but manageable. At its heaviest, a super plus tampon needs changing every 3 hours. Get quite tired.

Anyone else?!

I would ask your GP to refer you to a gynaecologist for further advice and evaluation. Do not put up with this, get it checked out. Would also suggest you keep a pain/symptom diary daily if you do not already do this. Any pain that is cyclical in nature and or gets worse up to and including menses should be checked to see if endometriosis is present.

Also anaemia can lead to you becoming tired and having ongoing heavy periods can lead to anaemia developing.
