First of all, I am definitely not pregnant and I am not on any contraceptive.
I’m 27 and never really had any issue with periods until the age of about 24 where I experienced pms and irregular periods. Dr suggested the combined pill and that did work wonders in regulating it and I felt great. At the time I did not need it for birth control reasons so I didn’t want it to be a permanent solution or run up to the dr every time I ran out. I stopped taking them around 2 years ago.
I immediately went back to feeling bad with periods again, however the last couple of times have been unusually bad. I bled for a week and even had a little bit of spotting after that which is unusual to the 3-4 days I always experience. Everything was far more severe than usual. Bad skin, extreme mood swings and random bouts of crying for no reason, very bad cramps and fatigue and something that I haven’t had before which felt like my muscles contracting in my back and abdomen.
I hate to sound dramatic and it’s probably something completely normal but I’m not sure what I can do to help with it? I don’t want to go on any contraceptives because I am with a partner but any other suggestions would be great :D
