Luteal phase hell since periods returned

Has anyone found luteal phase a depressing, angry, weepy nightmare after having kids. It was fine before and not noticeably different after my first but now, it's 2 weeks of misery every month. Still breastfeeding and I'm hoping maybe things will settle when I stop but at the moment I feel like I'm hardly functioning half the month. Anyone found similar and maybe found anything that helped?

Yes. I’m exhausted and close to rage for several days. Although tbh I think it was almost as bad before pregnancy. It was only having a year and a half off having periods that made me realise what had been going on.

That's true maybe not having them all that time has just made it more noticeable. It's messed up that this is half of my time now and I have no idea how to make it better.

There are lots of things I have heard about that might help. Some people swear by having antihistamines during the luteal phase and look up something called seed cycling. Vitamin b12 and vitamin d too. If natural options don’t work anti anxiety medication is generally effective. You’re right, it’s not something we should have to put up with half a month until we’re 50.
