MRI and Blood Test

After some bleeding (4 years post hysterectomy - i still have my cervix, ovaries and fallopian tubes) I was referred to gynaecology and sent for an urgent ultrasound scan.

Over the weekend I have received an appointment for a pelvic MRI. I called but with the looks of it the consultant letter is en route. The nurse on the phone said that I will also be having a blood test. I am a bit worried now and a quick Google came up with what I thought- tests for cancer.

Has anyone else experienced something similar....what happened next?

I had a follow up MRI after treatment for fibroids and now you mention it, I think they did take some blood (but not much) when they put the cannula in for the dye injection thing but I’ve no idea what it was for! I was too traumatised by the numerous attempts to get the cannula in to ask and never heard anything when I got my results back.

They draw back a little bit of blood putting the cannula in as a check that the cannula is in a vein, if it's in properly and it's a decent vein then they should get blood back.
