Bugs after peeing! Help please!

Not sure if this is the right thread and I’m hoping I’m worrying over nothing but a bit freaked out so please help

After peeing I flushed the toilet and then noticed these 2 bugs floating at the top of the water. I’ve googled lots of images of bathroom bugs and haven’t been able to find any images that look like these. Does anyone recognise them and have they definitely come from the toilet system - and not me Blush

Could be silverfish?

FourteenthDoctor · 01/10/2021 15:45

😮

LaBellina · 01/10/2021 15:45

The picture is unfortunately not clear enough to be sure but I agree with @Feelslikealot that it looks like silverfish.

Kittii · 01/10/2021 15:46

Pretty sure one is a caterpillar and the other a woodlouse. No way they came put of your body! They must have fallen in the toilet.

DiscoNapsRule · 01/10/2021 15:46

Thanks for replying. I wondered that to start with but the images I found of silverfish online looked too different Confused

They're unlikely to have come from you at that size. Most likely they were lurking under the rim of the toilet and when you flushed, they got dislodged...

WarriorN · 01/10/2021 15:49

Small one looks like a larvae/ caterpillar (bit like the carpet beetle larvae) and second sort of looks like a woodlouse

12BottlesOfVintageChampagne · 01/10/2021 15:50

Left one is woolly bear (carpet beetle larva), right one is a wood louse

WarriorN · 01/10/2021 16:01

Carpet beetles eat wool (or the larvae do) so check any favourite jumpers etc.

Feelslikealot · 01/10/2021 16:02

There's no way they've come out of you though. More likely they were in the toilet and got dislodged.

Thank you everyone…I feel silly for asking now but also glad I did as it’s put my mind at ease. Extra deep clean of the bathroom this weekend I think!
