Urge Incontinence

Has anyone successfully treated it.
Mid 50s, on HRT, active, healthy BMI, C sections, not vaginal deliveries.
I've always had a 'weak bladder', I put it down to years of a job where I couldn't go to the loo easily. Now I can hang on but the minute I park the car or put the key in the door it becomes an emergency and regularly need to change.
Please share some success stories?

Oxybutinin has been life changing for me. I can actually hang on.

I've had this for as long as I can remember. I take tolterodine which works well. Bladder training also helps as well as drinking plenty (which seems counter-intuitive but works) and avoiding caffeine (which I don't do)! I am the same as you with the "key in the door" scenarios!

This is exactly me. I found reducing my caffeine intake helped a lot - I now only drink caffeinated coffee at work so maybe 2 cups a day max, used to be 5 or 6. I also understand that working on core exercises will help. I paid for a session with a specialist gynae physio to check my exercises who said I had a hypertonic pelvic floor as I wasn't relaxing it properly between exercises. She also tried to persuade me to count to 30 or whatever when I feel the urge and to sit on something cold like the windowsill. I haven't even felt able to try that one.

I know that losing a significant amount of weight would help a bit. Working in it...

Following in case someone knows the answer

I am now in my 70s have had no vaginal deliveries just two caesarians was no problem until I got COPD five years ago.
Between flare ups I am fine but when the extreme coughing fits start it is sheer torture on my bladder.Even if only a little bit of urine inside it all comes out. I can even feel my bladder filling up.
Very embarrassing
