I am in my early 30s and have pretty much lost my pubic hair down there. Just happened over time. Is this common?

No

In some older women it occurs after the menopause but very gradually.

Is there anything else going on that makes you think you might be having a premature menopause, like irregular periods, moods, over-heating?

Have you been waxing it, I guess that could weaken it?

dd82 · 27/09/2021 10:40

No, nothing like that.

Only once in my life, but I don't have the strongest hair in general!

I would contact your gp to rule anything out. You can lose public hair as you age but it generally happens over time.

Hair loss can be a symptom of many things including under active thyroid and other hormone imbalances. Might be worth getting some blood tests done, as your head hair could also be affected. Have you been under a lot of stress lately? Could it be a kind of alopecia?

I would go see your GP, probably nothing to sinister but could be alopecia or something along those lines
