I have this problem which isn't daily but is frequent, probably 4 days a week on average.
I feel like I have loads of painful gurgling wind, it's usually behind my ribs as opposed to lower down, and is almost always at the right side. It is sore, as it feels like I'm inflated and is pressing/pushing on things. The pain often goes into my right shoulder blade and back. If I pass wind, it all burbles up again and almost feels like I'm being inflated and it all starts again. The only time I feel like I get some relief is after I've had a bowel movement or lots and lots of wind passes.
I've tried Windeze and digestive enzymes.
I take omeprazole, I'm on HRT. I've been checked for coeliac and an ultrasound showed pancreas is normal.
Does this sound like IBS or is my bowel slow and sluggish or could it be a food intolerance?
I know that it can be worse after eating nuts, so I avoid those now, but haven't noticed a pattern with foods otherwise.
