Hi, I’ll start this off by saying I have health anxiety and fully acknowledge this.
I am on the depo and have been since Feb this year. I’ve had one period during this time in May but since then nothing.
Last month I started getting abdominal pain lower left very sharp. I’ve been and got an internal and normal ultrasound which has come back clear.
I waited a bit as the doctors thought I may have an Sti so awaited results which all came back clear.
Whilst waiting I had sex and put a pad on (by chance) and when I seen the pad at lunch time it was covered in brown blood. For the next few days I had light brown spotting. I had sex again a few days later and had a bit of pink when I wiped. After this I panicked phoned the doctors and have been sent for a urgent referral to gynaecologist at hospital.

I’m really stressed and anxious as since the referral I have developed leg pains constantly all day and back pain.

I’m really really worried and am finding it difficult to sleep

I’ll also add I’m 23 so am to young to have had smears previously

@Ayeshaxxx I had stage 1b, but it is really unlikely to be cancer with the pain.
It is scary but most people don’t have cancer.

@MrsPnut thank you yes you’re right, I’m just panicking…
I’ve been thinking my leg pain could be maybe due to bone density affect of depo? I saw somewhere leg cramps might be symptom, just trying to think of other options. The abdo cramps are so much worse tonight I don’t know if I want to take another cocodamol as I’m already pretty out of it but I am allowed to take another within daily limit

Managed to get some sleep last night and woke up just now to pain and a fair bit of clear/ slightly yellow tinged discharge so now my anxiety has spiked again

Hi have you tried the app Headspace I also suffer from health anxiety and I find the guys voice very soothing it costs but you can get a free trial plus I think they have a YouTube channel if you don’t want to pay.

I have been referred for a scan in abdomen due to some mystery pains and I am sooo nervous! It’s not an emergency referral but it stil makes my mind go in to over drive 😂 so I kind of feel your pain good luck next week.

Update so I had my colposcopy today, gynaecologists weren’t that helpful or chatty so didn’t say exactly what could be wrong. They did a punch biopsy and took 2 samples, not sure what any of this means but I get my results in 3 weeks

I’m sorry the staff weren’t more reassuring. Hopefully the biopsies will be clear.
