Cervical smear fine but still heavy bleeding?

Hi, I'm in ovarian failure at 29 due to intense cancer treatment. I have not had a proper period since 2018. Thankfully I have two beautiful sons so I am not looking to TTC or anything, but my sex life with hubby is really being affected by this heavy bleeding and cramping I get on and off every month. My GP did a blood test on me to see what my hormones show and according to that blood test my hormones are very out of whack and in a post menopausal state still so it can't be periods returning. My GP says that if by now my hormones are still like that then my periods will never return. Had an abdominal ultrasound, smear test and cervical examination...ultrasound one ovary was dead essentially, the other one looked normal..had slightly thicker womb lining than normal for a menopausal woman. I take HRT tablets to protect my heart and bones because I am so young to be in menopause.

When I had the cervical exam the GP said I had a healthy cervix that didn't look cancerous. Still waiting for smear results to come back. I am just so sick of having smelly, heavy blood pool out of me for two weeks or more on the trot every month. I thought the silver lining to menopause was no more of that!

Anyone had similar? Very heavy bleeding that isn't a period?
