Talk to me about raised CA 125 results

Argh!!!! I went to doctor early in summer with bloating and some bladder issues. Doctor sent me for ca125 which came back raised (around 50). I was sent for ultrasound which ruled out ovarian cancer. Doctor also sent me to breast clinic and for stool samples all of which came back clear.

She asked me to do repeat ca125 this month which has come back even higher than the last (but still on 57). She is now doing urgent cancer pathway referral to the gynaecologists to rule out other forms of cancer.

Not sure what to think?! Part of me is really worried. Part of me is surprised she's sending me for ALL these tests.

Thoughts, advice and experiences very welcome.

Feels like I'm in a constant cycle of waiting for test results...

Any advice on this please? I've now seem a consultant who has re done the bloods and said he'll order a CT scan if the ca125 is still high. Not sure why I need a CT scan when the ultrasound ws clear. Hard not to worry!!!

No advice, but hope you get your scan and results soon, and hopefully the all clear. Must be a worrying time for you.

High CA125 tends to be linked to endo. Not sure what a CT scan will be show - on mine after the original tests ruling out ovarian cancer came back, I was sent for a MRI to see if they could see any endo signs.
Hope it ends up being nothing.
