Hi,
I have the contraceptive implant and it will be 3 years in June next year. Over the last 2 and a bit years I very rarely had any periods or bleeding, maybe the odd day of spotting and very occasional slightly heavier bleed.
Over the last 3 weeks or so I have been bleeding on and off and really quite heavy some days with alot of what looks like clots. I don't know if its just the implant wearing off or if it is something I should be worried about. If it's relavent I am very very heavy as in Bmi in the 50s and I know that can make the implant effective for a shorter amount of time.
Should I be worried? I have issues around going to the doctor but this is playing on my mind.
