Postpartum bleeding?

Hi all, I had my first baby 12 weeks ago via emergency c section, prior to this I had 5 attempts of an induction followed by a 20 hour labour which resulted in a emergency c section. After this I also developed a womb infection. Just a quick question how long did you all bleed for? I bled for about 7 weeks then had a week off but have now been bleeding again the last few weeks only lightly never enough to fill a pad but whenever I wipe it's mostly there sometimes it's old blood sometimes new. Any info regarding your experiences would be appreciated. Many thanks. :) x

I didn't want to read and run but not sure I have much in the way of advice...

My DS was born via Forceps so I don't know if it's different at all for a c section birth, but I remember bleeding for about 6 weeks post birth and then having a weeks break and then getting my first period which lasted a bit longer than normal, about 10 days instead of my usual 7.

I'd definitely check in with your gp as it doesn't sound like a period following your birth and PP bleeding if it's been going on for weeks and its not what you'd normally get during a period.
