Anyone had their milk ducts removed?

I've had breast discharge from one breast and itchiness since March, all clear, I've had examinations and a breast ultrasound and it was all ok, The consultant sent away some of the nipple discharge, and they came to the conclusion I have inflamed milk ducts. Sent me away saying to apply ibuprofen gel and if no improvement they will remove milk ducts. So here we are, no improvement, I haven't got back in touch yet, but I just wondered if anyone has had the removal surgery? What's it like? Is there a difference in your breast after? I worry it'll look deflated? Do they do just one or both? Sorry for all the questions.

I had my milk ducts removed a few years ago after finding a small lump on my areola, left breast ,had a biopsy first and the results came back saying it was a papilloma, I was advised to have it removed along with my milk ducts. I was a little disappointed about the scarring as they'd done keloid surgery. They do take a bit more flesh just to make sure they've got it all. I was just relieved that it was nothing sinister.
Hope this helps xx
