Hi I am being treated for breast cancer and hearing today about the above made me feel so negative and I wondered how people in my situation cope with news like this

It hits hard doesn't it? I'm still in active treatment, and I quite often think about reoccurrence and metastasis but push it to the back of my mind, telling myself most people are fine. But when someone isnt - when someone young dies like this it reminds you it could happen to you.

I don't have advice for making it easier. I'm just sending solidarity

Have you access to counselling or a support group? I know my DSIS benefitted from both Flowers

Hi, I too am having treatment for BC. I had a lumpectomy in August and due to start chemo soon.

I was deeply shocked by Sarah Harding's death but also realised she didn't seek help until it was too late, she was in denial.

Also there are so many celebrities who have had BC and are still singing, acting and working. These include:
Jennifer Saunders
Victoria Derbyshire
Sheryl Crow
Sharon Osborne
Dame Maggie Smith
Jo Malone... I could go on. You only hear the tragedy you don't hear about the many, many amazing women who are still here and living exciting and fulfilling lives.

Please remember this. 💗
