Hand hold please as suffer from bad health anxiety.
Had some hard yellow ish discharge from my nipple that won’t shift for about a week. Went to doctors yesterday she thinks it looks like a locked milk duct as it also feels heavy and sore. She is sending me hospital next week if it hasn’t gone and given me some cream. I have just had mirena coil put in 3 months ago. So hormones all over place.
Is this bad really struggling any ideas how I can make it better?

Yeah I had this but 5 years after finishing breast feeding! I had a really sore, hot breast around 6 weeks before the discharge appeared.

GP sent me to the breast clinic and had a thing called a ductogram and also a mammogram. Turned out I had some thing called duct ectasia which is widened milk ducts that infection had got trapped in and then found it's way out. Frightened the life out of me but was quite harmless.

I went to GP then I had a referral to the hospital. Scary but It turned out to be completely fine.

What colour was it and was the hard. Mines not discharge as such. Thank you ladies for the replies.

Hi op I also have periductal ecstatic.
Mine was very bad, caused an absess and scarring.
It did clear though. The breast clinic prescribed an antibiotic that the gp refuses to give me when I have a flare up.
I'm guessing because of cost.

If you are under 40 usually you have an ultrasound, over 40 a mammogram.

If its ecstatic its very treatable Flowers
