That's how many day since my last period and I'm bleeding again. WTAF! I've always been a regular 28 day cycle and the last 3 months its been 12 days/16 days/13 days. I'm going on holiday today. Angry The GP checked my hormone levels and they're ok apparently. I'm 47. Is this some perimenopause hell?! Anyone else had the same?

My hormone levels were checked and declared "normal" when they were infact not normal at all. Never accept normal!.

Constant rises and falls of estrogen and progesterone led to almost constant bleeding which over time became far heavier. I ended up having endometrial ablation surgery to stop it altogether. This may be something worth considering going forward and you should have a gynae referral. I found the GP to be completely out of his depth when it came to such issues and offered nothing further after the blood test. I at that point self referred to the local private hospital.

Thank you for your response. I'll get back in touch with the Doctor and ask about a referral. Touch wood, at the moment, My periods aren't particularly any heavier. I know hormonal contraceptives affected my periods, I'd either bleed every 2 weeks or bleed for 2 weeks so I'm sure this must be hormonal. It's just so boring to have a period every 2 weeks. I shall probably be the unlucky one still having periods when I'm 90! Hmm
