Uterine Prolapse

Hi all,

Suspect I have a uterine prolapse, waiting to be examined to confirm but pretty sure…things weren’t quite right after my first baby almost three years ago, then I had a second baby within 15 months and had other issues with abnormal smear etc, coupled with lockdown etc, so never really gave it much attention.
Now things look and feel worse than ever so I’ve got to get it looked at.
Just feeling so down about it, physically it’s causing problems but the mental impact has been awful too.
I would really welcome people’s advice or sharing of stories as it’s just not something I would really talk about with friends as not many have children and nobody else has mentioned having a prolapse.

Many thanks in advance

Hi sending huge hugs it is very common much more than you think, there is a fab support group on Facebook search for FPOPS UK
You will get lots of advice and support there. Im on of the admins I have 3 prolapses. Your best first step is asking for a referral to a urogynaecologist these are the ones specialising in prolapse, not just regular gynaes
Also a pelvic floor physio will really be beneficial
Sending hugs you are not alone xx
