Bleeding between periods

Any advice please

Im calling the doctor tomorrow, I’m on holiday at the moment and feeling abit anxious so wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms.

I have always had a light bleed a couple of days in between periods, however my last period was just under 3 weeks ago and I have had very light bleeding every day since. There is rarely any blood in my underwear, most of the time it is when I wipe, sometimes it’s brown blood and sometimes it’s fresh red blood.. sometimes it’s a tiny amount and sometimes it covers the tissue.

I’m definitely not pregnant
I’m not on any oral contraception (use condoms)
I had my smear test a few month ago and all was clear.

Im late twenties with 2 children.. I’ve looked online but all I can see is the C word 😩

It could be something simple like a polyp too. Mine was.

Could be a cervical ectropian. Did you bleed after your smear? Do you get increased spotting after sex? This might mean you have sensitive cells on your cervix which can either be left alone or can be dealt with as an outpatient.

Be prepared to be fobbed off with ‘its hormonal’ if a pelvic ultrasound and blood tests are inconclusive. You should get referred for these though. Keep a diary of your cycle and any bleeding so the dr can see any patterns to it.

You’re not on your own, this is a very common thread to read!! Please don’t worry yourself too much xx

I've been like this since the Pfizer vaccine. I'm putting it down to that and will wait it out a few more months.

@Fluffycloudland77 I’m hoping its something as simple as that

@Cannothandletheheat I did bleed after my smear and I found my smear pretty painful compared to my last one, I never thought anything of it I thought it was just because of the person doing it. Yes bleeding is increased with sex, not a massive amount but still enough to know it’s not normal. Thank you, I have a doctors appointment next week so looking forward to discussing it with them.

@Tablow I didn’t even think about linking it to the vaccine, I had my Pfizer jab a month ago. Don’t want to mention that to the doctor incase they try to fob me off with that

The Pfizer jab has properly screwed my cycle. I've had intense (can't leave the bathroom let alone house) flooding for days after each jab, and then spotting and bleeding every day in between. I'm praying it settles down now I've had the second jab.

I had the Pfizer jab on July 19th, period afterwards on time, few days clear then started bleeding again and it’s now been continuous bleeding / spotting for over a week. Always had a regular cycle so am putting it down to the jab, looks like lots of women are having odd cycles / bleeding post Pfizer. Hope you feel better soon x

My first period post Pfizer 2nd jab came 3 days early then the same spotting/red blood/brown blood every day for a month. I saw a private gynae 3 weeks in who put it down to the vaccine. She advised I waited it out until after the next period was due expecting that it might clear up after that. It did. Back to normal now.

I feel a lot better reading the replies, mind has been put at rest abit thankfully 🤞🏻

I have an appointment which I will still go to 100% just to check, I would be silly not to. My next period is due this week so it will be interesting to see if the bleeding continues after my period ends
