Female hair thinning

hopefully someone can help. For the last number of years I've noticed my hair is thinning like a bald patch right at the front but lately I think it's getting worse or else I'm just noticing it now. I have to have my hair in side parting to cover it. Has anyone else had this? Should I start using regaine/rogaine?

What age are you?
Have you investigated/ ruled out possible cause, menopause, pcos, hypothyroidism?

Thanks for the replies. I'm 37, the fact thinning has been there a long time and I would have had various blood tests over the years I'm sure something would have shown up?

Reading many threads on mn over the years, diagnosis of these things can be sketchy to say the least. Better to do your own research and see if you fit the symptoms and can self help with diet/ supplements etc. For example, pcos rspinds well to low carb diet etc
