Hi,

I was wondering if any ladies can share their post C Section recovery stories and how long it took them to stop feeling pain, walk normally, exercise, etc.

My baby has sadly passed away and I had to have a C section at 34 weeks. The surgery went well and no complications, she was our first.

I am on blood thinners as I'm overweight, I move about as much as possible, I have a tiny hole on one side of the C section scar, but was checked by nurse and she said it should heal up by itself. I am currently 5 weeks after surgery.

I can't even describe how depressed I feel for not healing as soon as I thought I will. One day I feel quite energetic, the other sluggish and uncomforable having to support my belly with my hand.
I am eating very well as I was controlling my diet during pregnancy due to gestational diabetes. I am not diabetic ( as far as I know but will have a test on 6 week app), but I feel like my healing could be quicker. I'm 33 y.o. so age doesn't help me either. I am taking omega 3 and multivitamins.

I get some stabby like pain on one side or another but it's not persistent, my scar doesn't hurt, just the insides. I feel very uncomfortable sitting straight, I can't lie on my side, always on my back due to discomfort. I tried looking up how long does inner uterus scar heals for but wasn't able to find good information about it.

Can someone please have any advice for me, I will try anything. I was quite active even during pregnancy, doing gardening etc.and now I'm more or less bound to the sofa and shuffling from one room to another.

Op, couldn't read and not reply. So sorry about your little one, I can't imagine how you are feeling.

Now, my c section was almost 20 years ago, but from memory I was driving after 9 days, although being very careful. My movements were again just careful. You just need to be conscious of not making any quick jerks or forgetting yourself and pulling or twisting to quickly. Keep everything clean and just take your time. I developed adhesions straight after section internally and then endometriosis.

Take your time to recover, everyone is different. Your doing everything right so far. Best wishes.
