Hi all,

I am in hospital awaiting hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation, novasure. Feeling a bit nervous now. Appointment time just creeped up and I already feel so knackered from the hectic week before.

Just asking for a bit good vibes and thoughts cuz I have heard ablation can go both ways. Hope I end up with zero periods.

And thanking you for all the support and help I got here leading up to this.

Wish me luck!!!!!

Hope you are feeling better now. I had this done in 2014. I had a light discharge for about three weeks afterwards and that was it. I have never had a period since. Best thing ever. I hope you have the same happy outcome.

I had mine in Feb and it was the best thing I've ever done.

I was bloated and groggy for a couple of days, then a bit tender in the area for a week or so but back to normal life very quickly.

It's been a game changer for me. My periods are so light now and only a day or two. I've realised how unwell they were making me and I've lost 10kg!

It's been amazing.

I'm 37 now and not had a period since it's heaven

I had this in my very late 30s. BEST THING EVER! I'm now 53 and haven't had any bleeding since about three months afterwards. There was the occasional light smearing in the early days but not even enough to warrant a panty liner, and otherwise nothing. It changed my life completely (and, perhaps, my daughter's too. She's a successful swimmer and there is absolutely no way that I would have taken her to the pool to swim so often when she was little had I still been dealing with flooding every 18 days or so.)
