I recommend signing up to Dermatica .

What's your current skincare routine AM and PM please

Somebodyimportant1 · 16/07/2021 21:21

@stevalnamechanger I currently wash face morning and night and apply face cream.

I am currently in what I call “I am fed up stage” again now. I have suffered from hormonal acne all my life from teenage years

Sympathies - I’ve had horrible hormonal acne since having a coil fitted - jawline and neck are my worst areas

I've tried almost everything. Prescription and non prescription. Nothing has ever got rid of them completely Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2021 21:27

Just go to the dr.

I was tormented by it for about 3 years! Finally (during lockdown) sent photos to Dr and had a prescription for Lymecycline. It worked really quickly and really well, but will occasionally flare in a minor way for a day or two. Can't seem to stop taking it though. It's now been over a year and if I stop taking it (obviously having finished course) it flares up again within a day or two

The only thing that ever stopped mine was when I was on Yasmin for two years. I came off it last year and it's gradually got worse and worse. I don't know which I want to avoid the most - side effects of the pill, or hormonal acne. I'm so close to asking to go back on it :(.

I have tried things over the counter from the most expensive to the cheap.

I have been to the dermatologist and got medication (can't recall name but I have to be having blood test done regularly to check liver or kidney omi think because it could cause damage).

I have tried the pill but no real luck/improvement

I can't even take the type of pill that helps now because I am now hypertensive.

I resulted to always washing with the body shop vitamin c products -still no luck.

Then BINGO I found a lady making homemade acne cream which worked like magic for me- it cleared completely and brighten up my face. I finished d the product and ordered another from her but it didn't work. I Dont know if she changed her ingredients or what. I did ask her bit she said there Are no changes but I bet she did. & I am guessing she put some hydroquinone in it too the 1st time and took it out the 2nd time 🤦🏽‍♀️. So now I do not buy from her anymore because is not working

So back to square one again🙄

VERY VERY EMBARRASSING YO BE WALKING AROUND WITH ACNE.

THERE are times I just ignore it and stand and walk up and times my confident is severely bashed especially with the new TV advert about an acne product which makes me feel embarrassed especially when they said “for everytime someone told you to wash your face. For every time your face feels like sanding paper” 🙈🤦🏽‍♀️🙄 makes me sad.

Try Dr Natalia Spiering

Or if you can't afford to go private , Dermatica

Dermatica

These are what I'd recommend trying for next 3 months .
