Bartholins Cyst balloon catheter

Hiya,

I finally had a procedure today to hopefully get rid of my bartholins for good fingers crossed.

I had a balloon catheter put in under local anaesthetic. However, because I couldn't feel anything, I literally have no clue what is 'normal'. Can anyone advise?

At the end of the procedure, the nurse said she is 'tucking' something up me... much to my shock when the other nurse said I can still have sex... hmmmm surely that will make whatever she has tucked up me rip out?!

I am unsure what's gone on, I've made my poor boyfriend take a look and he can see something up me which we believe is maybe the other end of the catheter however he can't see a hole in my cyst to then drain?

I am very confused with what's actually happened in my procedure and I can't even call and ask as they're closed and each time I've tried to call them during the day they've never answered anyway haha.

My question is, should I have something hanging out of the cyst? Should there be a hole? Or is it correct for it to all be tucked up neatly inside and I shouldn't be able to see anything? I am baffled! I don't want it to have closed up already!
