Spotting after sex

Hi,
I’m wondering if anyone could share whether they’ve ever had spotting/ bloody discharge/mucus after sex, and it’s been related to endometriosis?
I have PCOS and have been told I have “kissing ovaries” which I understand can be a sign of endo. I don’t think I have any other symptoms. Is endometriosis usually associated with more obvious pain and bleeding after sex? Or could this be a subtle sign?
TIA Smile

I have PCOS and mild endometriosis but my bleeding after sex was due to cervical ectropian. Best to get yourself checked by the gp if it happens regularly. Make sure your smears are up to date too. Keep a diary to show the gp as they will look into your cycle and whether there’s any pattern to your bleeding. Hope it settles for you.

@Cannothandletheheat thank you so much for your response! I’ve had a google (of course) and it does sound like cervical ectropion could be the cause. I will definitely keep a diary though and get checked out if it persists. Thanks again x

My post coital bleed was also an ectropion. Bloody annoying!

Mine was a polyp on the cervix, you still need to see the dr though just to check your ok.

They can take polyps off in the surgery and send them off to pathology, I’ve had two off that way.

Cervical ectropion is not uncommon op, used to be called 'cervical erosion'.

Keep an eye on it (as you have suggested), but I'm sure you will be fine.
