Firstly I’d like to start off with saying I have health anxiety that gets triggered very easily - this is one of those times.
So a few years ago I noticed a small bump right in the centre or the area where a double chin might be- between neck and chin - It may have always been there I don’t know. Around august time last year i started noticing it more, im not sure if it grew bigger or I just started focusing on it, I then noticed more up the sides of my neck and went to gp who referred me for an ultrasound. The whole process took about 4 -5 weeks and I was a nervous wreck the whole time- spending my time reading message boards and medical sites for hours 🙈 not helpful I know . All was fine it was just lymph nodes and not concerning though no reason why they were up as no infection.
Now this week another one has popped up under my chin , feels like a small semi firm tiny pea - exactly like the other one under my chin ( which is still there and never going at this stage ) I’m not back in freak out mode as i know people say nodes go up after Infection and take time to go back down but in my experience mine never go back down and there has been no infection . So terrified I have cancer ! Sorry I told u I had health anxiety 😂
I rang the gp who has booked me in tomro to feel it and then she’ll order bloods, decide ultrasound- scared by also exhausted about being on this journey again .
I guess I’m writing this thread to see if anyone can relate or has the same? I know it doesn’t substitute medical advice but just for reassurance .
