Have had some symptoms over the recent months -discharge smelling fishy, and occasional burning and cystitis feeling went to gp for swabs a few months ago and all came back clear. She said on examination she seen a white patch on cervix but wasn’t worried and that it could be where I had a cervical stitch at the end of last year.
Went back last week as although the smelling discharge has gone I am still having occasional cystitis symptoms, and now have a lower back ache and constant burning sensation. I also had one episode of bleeding the day after intercourse with lower abdomen tenderness. Another examination with a different nurse this time, she said there was a white patch and a red patch on the other side but that she also wasn’t worried and thinks it’s where I have had my stitch. She sent swabs off again and they came back with nothing but strep b (I have had this in pregnancy before but not pregnant now) and as far as I know it wouldn’t cause these symptoms.
My questions- has anyone had a cervical stitch and following cervical examination showed scarring? Also, has anyone had these symptoms with strep b?
I am going out of my mind with worry and I know there is nothing anyone here can do but it may help if anyone has any similar, especially positive stories!
