Uti - had positive nitrite on first morning urine but negative culture - can anyone help make sense of my results?

Hello all

So I had pressure down below sometimes and the odd twinge in upper flank area but only say two to three times a day for a few seconds at a time.
I was on antibiotics and it all settled but I felt a bit of pressure again so did a first morning urine dipstick at home and had trace nitrites (baby pink not hot pink colour). So went back on another lot of same antibiotics but the urine culture has come back as follows

Wbcs >40 10x6l
No red cells
No significant bacterial growth
Epithelial cells +

Is that a very high wbc? And what does it all mean? Got myself some Dmannose today

Anyone?

I don't understand it tbh. Can you call a GP?

There’s many potential reasons for sterile pyuria, you need to speak to your GP.
