Another thread from me…. Waiting on an appointment date for my 2w breast clinic referral.

Just trying to keep positive and clutch at straws that everything will be ok… and hopefully help anyone else going through exactly the same thing to show theres a good chance it could be something benign.

What did your breast cyst/fibroadenoma/fat necrosis feel like? Painful/not painful? Large/small? smooth/jagged? Round/oval/flat? hard/soft? Mobile/immobile? Etc…

Any answers big or small would help my mental well-being tremendously. (And I know cancerous lumps can be any of the above, but I will take any bit of hope right now).

Thanks in advance 💐

Hello, I had a cyst. Under the nipple. As in on lower part of Breast. It felt firm and ridgey at the top, then lower felt smoother. I seemed to be able to move it a bit. It wasn't painful. It was around 2.5 by 1.5 inches. When I lay down you could see it under skin. It seemed to appear from nowhere. It grew by around 1/3 from when I noticed it to when it was drained. X

It wasn't round, probably more like oval but with more of a figure of eight shape 😬

When I first discovered my Fibroadenoma it was painful. It’s a small lump on top of a larger lump on the outside of my right boob.
I had an examination, mammogram and fine needle aspiration all at the appointment.
I wanted it removed but I was talked out of it by the surgeon as he was concerned about internal scarring ‘hiding’ a future cancer lump.
I’ve had it about 6 years now.

I had a cyst, it was fairly large, oval, not painful appeared fairly quickly I think and was smooth, a bit moveable and was aspirated with a syringe at the GP, I was told it could reappear, it hasn't in the last 10 or so years.
