Breast lump, one thing after another

Hey Lovelies,

I just feel like it’s one thing after the other with me lately! Anyway I am now panicking as I’ve found a lump in my left breast. It feels hard, is painless, moves between my fingers (I think), feels smoothish and is the size of a marble maybe even a little bigger.

I had a similar situ a year and a half ago (found a lump in my right breast but was much smaller and was like a pea, ended up being a cyst). I suppose I’m panicking because this lump is larger and I don’t know, my anxiety is not the best I’ll be honest.

Anyway I have a follow up docs appointment coming up on Thurs for something unrelated so am going to mention it to her then.

Basically I’m just on here for a hand hold and some positive stories as my mind goes into overdrive and I’ve read on every corner of the internet that BC lumps can moveable and smooth etc. plus it’s painless!

Any handhold would be great. Thanks in advance 💐

Sorry you've got to deal with this - lumps are scary! The only thing you can do is reassure yourself that the vast majority of lumps turn out to be harmless. FWIW I've had a lump in my right breast since I was 18 that sounds like exactly what you describe. I didn't do anything about it at the time, which I know was bloody stupid but I was young and felt invincible I guess - but I'm now 30 and it's still there but exactly the same shape, texture and size, so obviously was nothing to worry about.

It's good you're getting it checked, don't be an idiot like younger-me was, but you'll almost certainly be fine. And even if it is cancer, treatments are SO good now :).
