Sterilisation failure

Hey so I had my 4th baby 9weekd ago now - via c section and got sterilised (or so I thought) in the process

I received a phonecall today / the doc said the test they do via the piece of tube they got they couldn’t tell if it meant I was sterilised - this was my 4th c section and as such I was pretty damaged and during the sterilisation instead of cutting the inside tube the doc could only do the outside and as such I need to go and have a HSG to make sure I am sterilised

I also got told to go on birth control however it’s a bit late as of course me and hubby have done the deed prior to this phonecall 😞

Has any one been through similar and all was ok we are freaking out as we were having sex thinking all was ok 🤭

I'm sorry you are going through this. What did the Dr mean by inside and outside tube? There are only 2 fallopian tubes- on on either side!

I've had a HSG and it was far better than I expected. I've had worse smear tests. Best of luck x

@Eleoura thanks for your reply they way he worded it was they usually trim inside but they couldn’t get to the inside of the tube (his words) I’ve googled it but can’t find much out by what he means 😤 I think I may have to ring back to get them to clarify

@Menora I know !! I’m going to ring on Monday to get them to clarify 😩 it’s defo snipped as during c section and my consultant said it’s most successful with a snip instead of clips -
