Is this normal after sterilisation?

Hi, I had endometrial ablation surgery and sterilisation almost 3 weeks ago in hope to stop my heavy continues bleeding. Since surgery I have been in a lot of pain which I just thought was normal to begin with, I haven't stopped bleeding since surgery (not really heavy). My gp has given me antibiotics incase I have an infection but they are making no difference. My ovaries feel so painful, I feel bloated and just fed up. I was so excited about having the surgery after bleeding almost non stop for 18 months but si far there is no improvement and now pain.

Am I just be impatient? Will things get better?, has anyone else experienced the same?

Im unsure if I should phone my gp or the hospital tomorrow for further investigation or if I should give it more time?

Did you get a follow up appointment a week or so post op?. It appears not.

You need to contact the hospital who performed this surgery as you are both bleeding and in pain. Antibiotics here have made no difference either.

No, no follow up, hospital said I didn't need one 😐

That's poor practice on the part of the hospital. I would be contacting PALS.

Why did you have one?
I had one for fibroids and it didn’t work
Yes call back, you need a follow up

My friend had this and it turned out her bladder attatched itself to the scar tissue, definitely worth getting it checked out x

I had non stop bleeding for 18+ months, heavy painful periods and one small fibroid.

My gp is seeing me this afternoon to possibly send me back to hospital for further investigation. I suspect I have endometriosis but have never been diagnosed so it’s possible scar tissue has fused to something. Hoping I will be sent for a scan in the next day or 2, I’m worried they will send me for more surgery or even hysterectomy.
