Lorna Wing Centre adult diagnosis?

I have an assessment for ASD coming up with the LWC. Wondering if anyone here has experience there and what to expect? Also if they diagnosed ADHD too if they thought you had it? Thank you!

I am hoping to have my teenager assessed there and I have heard that it is a very thorough day, no stone left unturned with psychometric tests etc. All extremely professional (best there is) but a tiring day.

I am having mine over virtually but yes I have heard the same, because they use the DISCO method which goes from birth until the present moment

Hi I had my assessment today, they are very thorough and work through your life history with you. I got a positive result for ASD.

I wish I could afford to get assessed there.

I did the girls and women moodule with Autism UK where they talk about their DISCO assessment and the differences assessing women.

Im pretty sure I have ADHD and am autisfic.

That’s great to hear. Can I ask if they were nice/friendly?

My son was diagnosed there 30 years ago.
It took all day but they, Lorna Wing and Judith Gould, told me as soon as they saw him on the doorstep they knew.

I’d always known but the long flight involved getting to the Uk to see them was worth it.

They were fabulous.
