Mid cycle bleeding

I’m embarrassed to ask this as I feel like I should know the answer. For the last 4-6 months or so I’ve been getting light bleeding at random times during my cycle. Twins have just turned one, period returned at 9 months (4 months ago) and has been MUCH heavier, to the extent that I’ve ruined clothes.

I had a clear smear test at the start of the year, before this became a noticeable issue. Bleeding looks like implantation bleeding (that I had in both pregnancies) so much so I took a test a few months ago.

Is this something to worry about? I thought it was, but the NHS website says it’s v normal. Help!

Hi, sorry I'm no help, but am following to see if people have any advice. Im day 20 of my cycle today and have just noticed some bleeding. I don't know if my period is arriving early, or if it's random bleeding, but I've never experience early periods or mid cycle bleeds before, so was coming on here to see if others had experience.

Last time I had a smear test, the nurse was quite emphatic that mid-cycle bleeding always needs to be checked. Have you tried filling in a form OP?

Hi @ButtercupSquash ok thanks. What do you mean re filling in a form? Will try and make a phone appt at the GP.

Most, if not all I don’t know, surgeries have an online form accessible via the website. I found if you fill it in a doctor will phone you within a couple of days. With making an appointment you might have to wait a couple of weeks.

I noticed mid cycle bleeding after strenuous exercise. I filled the form and got a call from gp. He asked loads of questions and told me to have check up tomorrow.
